A year and a half later ..

Since the last update, alot has transpired. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (Education) with a triple minor in Technology Applications, Communication Speech, and Radio/Television. Throughout the summer, I have done a good amount of surfing at JP Luby and SPI. During the week, I was an instructor for the Upward Bound program. I really enjoyed teaching and getting to know my kids. I will miss them greatly and can't wait to see them again next summer.

In other news, I'm still awaiting calls from the 26 high schools I've applied to .. really need a job. If the high school you went to has a Media Technology department ... let me know ...

it's been a long while since I've written anything on my Xanga. Alot has happened since my last post in August. The biggest change is that I'm single now .. I still don't like being alone .. it's uncomfortable. I'm not going to post any details .. because .. I don't want to get into it. Other than that .. the fall semester has come and gone. I did fairly well .. my GPA has gone up to a 2.69. The holiday season was nice. For Christmas, I went up to Austin to my uncle's lake house and kayaked for a few days. After that, I came home for a full day and left up to Camp Eagle for a staff reunion for New Years. There, I went rock climbing, hiking, and I caught a fish with my hands! A few days later, I drove to Fredericksburg and met up with VVYPR (Viper). The five of us (Carlos Vargas, Sara Vargas, Stephen Yates, Marty Pike and Gary Rule) went backpacking at Enchanted Rock for four days. While we were there, we experienced record-breaking low temperatures (it was in the teens for three consecutive nights), and had a great time with fire and ramen noodles! Did you know that there is a cave at E-Rock? It's pretty cool .. I want to go back and campout inside.

The summer break is coming to a close as a new era is coming upon us. The first day of class is just a few days away .. and you know what that means .. BSM lunch!!!!

I was able to take the day off on Tuesday .. and Amy, her sister, her bf and I went to South Padre for the day! It was great!

The summer is in full swing now .. things are great! Our new BSM Director is here and many great things are already in place for the fall semester!

Geez .. it's been a long time since I've updated on here ..

It's now July and Summer Session I is over. I'm expecting my grade for COMS 1315 (Business and Professional Communications) to be posted tomorrow (should be an "A" !!!). Life has been good.

Greg is in Colorado .. and it seems like he will stay there for awhile. I'm kinda bummed because we got to go shoot stuff and mess around .. and I really enjoyed his company. He was my friend and I wish him well in Colorado!

I am thankful for my friends .. every one of you!
